and it will be given to you; seek and you will
find; knock and the door will be opened to you."

Our
Lifestyle Statement
We believe that God will reveal to us the
answers for every important decision through Scripture,
tradition, experience and reason.
Scripture is our
primary source.
"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching,
rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that
the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good
work." II Timothy 3:16-17
We ask, "What do the scriptures have to
say?"
Tradition
"Paul and Barnabas appointed elders for them in each church
and with prayer and fasting, committed them to the Lord, in
whom they had put their trust...they gathered the church
together and reported all that God had done through them.”
Acts 14:23, 27a
"Listen, my sons, to a father’s instruction; pay attention
and gain understanding." Proverbs 4:1
We ask, "How has the church looked at
certain issues in light of the Scriptures?"
We seek wisdom from the faithful
generation before us.
Experience
What does the experience of other
Christians and my experiences say about the decision I must
make?
"But the Lord stood at my side and gave
me strength, so that through me the message might be fully
proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it." II Timothy
4:17
Reason
We use reason as an aide to discerning
God’s will from our Scriptures.
"For the Lord gives wisdom, and from His
mouth come knowledge and understanding." Proverbs 2: 6
