ADVENTures with Faith

The season of Advent begins on December 1, but we are going on ADVENTures beginning on Sunday, November 24. ADVENTures are weekly events designed to bring us deeper into community and the true meaning of Christmas.

All events go from 5:30–7:00 p.m.

Sunday, November 24 –Chrismons & Cookies

This is a fun, interactive, all-ages worship service during which we learn more about who Jesus is and what Christmas is all about, and simultaneously decorate the church’s Christmas tree with special ornaments called “chrismons.” This is our first chance in 2019 to sing Christmas carols together and get into the spiritual meaning of the season. We’ll also begin getting the church ready for the Advent season which takes us up to Christmas!

After this brief service, we’ll move to the lobby to make our own chrismons for our Christmas trees at home and to decorate chrismon cookies for a special treat, while we make new friends or renew existing friendships with other Faith folks.

Sunday, December 1–Christmas Party!

Kick off the Advent and Christmas season with a party! On December 1 at 5:30 p.m., we’ll gather in the Lobby to enjoy all the party trimmings, from festive food, to seasonal crafts, story time with Pastor Elizabeth, and other activities for all ages and abilities. Begin the season right with Faith Church!

Sunday, December 8–Christmas Caroling

Gather in the Talbert Great Room for some community caroling, hot drinks, and snacks. Interspersed with group singing will be musical presentations by some of our members.
