Faith Church will offer two dates for our end of the month outings to give more folks the opportunity to participate in these events.  Please RSVP!  It’s important to know who is attending so no one is left behind and to have a Point Person so all going can meet.  Carpooling is encouraged for these events so please feel free to meet at Faith Church and leave your cars in the parking lot.

Saturday, June 24

Hike:  Meet at 9:00 a.m. at the Lake Serene – Bridal Veil Falls trail head off of State Route 2 east of Everett. This 2.5-mile hike to Bridal Veil Falls is a four-star hike on Washington Trails Association’s Trip Report.  Hikers can decide to continue on the Lake Serene 7.2-mile trail.  RSVP to this event as we don’t want to leave anyone behind. Carpooling is suggested as this is a popular hike on weekends.   Northwest Forest Pass is required.  WTA Report

Henry Moses Aquatic Center, Renton.  The HMAC features two water slides (26 feet high), two separate pools, a 9,000-square foot leisure pool and 3,300 square foot, six-lane lap pool.  The leisure pool includes popular features as zero-depth entry, wave machine, water spray play area, lazy river, island lagoon, 2 water slides, and toddler area.  There’s plenty of sun and shade area.  Sessions are 3 ½ hours and non-Renton resident’s fee for 5 years and up is $15.00.  Meet at the HMAC for Session One which starts at noon.  HMAC Info

Star Wars: Rogue One by Alaskan Brewing Co. 6:00 p.m. – 11:55 p.m., South Lake Union Discovery Center.  101 Westlake Avenue N., Seattle, 98109.  It’s South Lake Union Saturday Market’s 25th anniversary and Alaskan Brewing is blasting off to a galaxy far, far away for a free screening with light sabers.  This screening will have a family-friendly section and a charity beer garden.  They will be selling light sabers to pay tribute to Carrie Fischer.  The event is FREE; food and beverages are optional.  MORE INFO

Sunday, June 25

Corner Bakery Cafe, Gilman Blvd., Issaquah. INFO.  Meet at noon for some yummy and healthy food and then head up the plateau to the Regal Theater for Wonder Woman.  (the time of the movie will be sent the week before.  REGAL


Join the reconciling movement of United Methodist Churches in Seattle on Sunday, June 25th, as we stand together to celebrate our Pride and Faith during Seattle’s annual Pride Parade!

Activities of the day will include:

Worship Service at 10 AM at First United Methodist Church of Seattle (180 Denny Way – Sanctuary entrance on 2nd Ave)

Pride Parade and Pride Fest Participation

Hospitality at First United Methodist Church – First Church’s location at the end of the Pride Parade route makes it an ideal spot to share in the love and festivities of the Pride Parade. We will have live music and pass out cookies and drinks to people walking in the Pride Parade.
